The Opportunity & About the Role

As a Field Service Technician based in Emerald, you will travel to customer sites to diagnose, repair and maintain Komatsu equipment. You will work independently in the field, integrate into customer operations and ensure all work meets Komatsu safety and quality standards.

Emerald Role Located: Emerald and surrounding locations.

Roster and Site Coverage:

• Roster: 7 days on 7 days off roster, working predominately day with ocassional night shifts.
• Supporting construction & rural customers in addition to mine-sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality field service support across customer sites
• Diagnose and repair equipment with accurate documentation of test results
• Complete end float and clearance checks with full recording of specifications
• Submit timesheets and required paperwork within required timeframes
• Maintain all inductions, tickets and site compliance requirements
• Identify and escalate issues to Komatsu hierarchy and customer contacts
• Build strong working relationships and uphold Komatsu values
• Seek ongoing improvement through training including Komatsu Certified Technic training

What we are looking for

• Trade qualified HD Fitter or Diesel Fitter
• Strong technical capability in diagnostics, repairs and machine maintenance
• Ability to work independently across multiple customer sites
• High commitment to safety, compliance and quality
• Strong communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately
• General knowledge of Microsoft programs and service systems
