Diesel Fitter

The Opportunity

• You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable performance across mining operations.
• From planned maintenance through to major repairs and breakdown support, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet operating at its best.
• We offer roster flexibility to suit different lifestyles, whether you prefer a balanced 7/7 rotation or a Monday-to-Friday arrangement.

What You’ll Receive

• Earn up to $69.00 per hour
• Super paid on all rostered hours
• Choice of 7/7 roster or 5/2 day shift roster
• Permanent full-time employment

Your Day-to-Day

• Workshop maintenance and repairs on heavy mining equipment
• Fault finding and diagnostics across a modern fleet
• Component change-outs and equipment rebuilds
• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Breakdown repairs and troubleshooting
• Completing maintenance tasks safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Contributing to a positive team culture and safe workplace

About You

• You’re someone who values safety, takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a high-performing maintenance team.
• You’ll bring practical experience working on heavy equipment and the ability to work well both independently and alongside others.
• To be successful, you will have:
• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Experience working on heavy earthmoving or mining equipment
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Current Queensland driver’s licence
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safety
