The opportunity:
We're hiring FIFO (Fly In / Fly Out) Plumbers from Perth and nearby suburbs on a 14/ 7 roster for Fulltime Employment.
Working closely with the onsite maintenance team, you should be ambitious, enjoy a challenge and have a strong trade background including experience with the operation of facilities maintenance services for infrastructure at remote mine site locations.
- Competitive Annual Wage – $125,000 - $130,000 plus super

Role Details:
- Repair and replacement of sewer lines, clearing of blockages, hot water systems, repairs and replacement of solar hot water systems.
- Installation and maintenance of reticulation systems.
- Repairs and maintenance within a commercial kitchen environment.
- Routine preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
- Investigation of failures, analysis and recommendation for rectification.
- On-call requirements to attend to urgent requests outside of normal working hours.
- Assisting all trades (electrical, refrigeration, general building).
- New minor works projects will be undertaken from time to time.
To be considered:
- Current Trade Qualification in Plumbing and Gas Fitting (Western Australian Trade Recognised).
- Previous experience providing maintenance services in a remote environment preferred.
- Experience with general plumbing and drainage work on residential accommodation and mine site assets, working in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
- Ability to repair and replace leaking taps, toilets and cisterns, water pipes, waste pipes, gutters and down pipes, roof repairs etc.
- Previous experience working in a facilities maintenance environment involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules.
- Current “C” class manual driver’s license.
- Ability to work a flexible FIFO roster - 2:1 roster available!

Working closely with the onsite Head Chefs, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality meals across Breakfast, Crib, and Dinner—while proudly upholding ISS’s reputation for excellence and creating memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations.

To be considered:
- Must have Australian Trade Qualification of Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher.
- Experience as a Sous Chef in a commercial kitchen. (Essential)
- Proven experience as a chef in high-volume catering, including bulk meals and banquet or function service.
- Experience in large scale A La Carte kitchens. (Desirable)
- Experience in mining village operations. (Desirable)
- Must have with a strong ability to meet client expectations for food quality, presentation, and strict adherence to food safety and HACCP standards.
- Experience driving a safe and productive work culture.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Must have a valid police check issued within the last 12 months or be willing to obtain one.
- Must pass a Pre-employment Medical Test, Functional Assessment and Drug and Alcohol Screen.
- Driver's License/ Photo ID required.
- Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to ensure smooth operations.

About our role
Northern Star has a rewarding opportunity for a Site Services Plumber to be a part of a dynamic workplace at our world-class Thunderbox Operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is offered on a family friendly 8 days on 6 days off roster, FIFO of Perth or Busselton.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Fixed plant works, water leak repairs & drainage
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on water infrastructure
- Heavy involvement in on/offsite projects.
- Ensure daily communication with the Supervisor regarding work progress and delays in accordance with the weekly schedule.
Required skills and experience may include:
- WA Plumbing Trades or Contractors License
- Gas servicing ticket (highly desirable)
- At least 2 years' experience with general plumbing, renovations and maintenance.
- Ability to work in remote areas

The Opportunity:
Exciting opportunities exist for experienced Chefs and Chef Leaders to work a Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) roster from Perth Airport to our remote sites throughout Western Australia. We are enhancing the catering and workplace experience in our WA Villages and your innovation and flare is needed to be a part of the team!
Role Details:
Reporting to the onsite Head Chef and Catering leadership team on site these roles are not cooking in the same old kitchens. We have an opportunity for the right candidates to do it differently. To deliver innovative, on trend food to hundreds of residents in our remote villages.
You will still be required to deliver food safely as food safety is non-negotiable and you must have a commitment to meeting all food safety obligations. In addition, you must have a commitment to the workplace being safe and ensure you with your team are working safely at all times.
As a Chef in our ISS catering team, you will assist in all food operations within the Village including breakfast, take away lunches and Dinner service. The goal is to exceed customer expectations delivering to a healthy, delicious and innovative food offering, whilst being in line with contractual requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Australian Trade Certification or Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential) or a comprehensive international portfolio of experience with international qualifications.
- High volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience &/or a la carte experience in high volume venues/restaurants/hotels.
- Whatever your experience it is your wish to deliver the best in industry – that is what we are looking for!
- Ability to exceed client expectations in food quality and food safety adherence.
- Able to work a flexible FIFO roster from Perth Airport.
- Police Clearance or willing to obtain one and medically fit to pass Pre-employment medical.
