About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for qualified Boilermakers who have extensive experience with maintaining heavy mobile equipment specifically with diggers and drills reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
These roles will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth. These sites include South Flank, Yandi, Jimblebar and Newman.
Team members are expected to demonstrate focus on safety, achievement and team engagement in all aspects of their work, ensuring adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process.
About You
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Australian recognised Boilermaker / Fabrication trade qualification - essential
- Experience in Mobile Equipment Maintenance, Working in a field service role or mine site experience
- Proven experience working with diggers and Epiroc drills - highly desirable
- Experience working on large mining machinery
- Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, be self-motivated and show passion toward the equipment within the department.
- Capability in 1SAP or similar maintenance management systems (desirable)
- Must have a valid drivers licence (HR essential)
- High Risk licence Essential – Forklift essential and EWP, WAH – desirable
- Crane (CN), Dogging (DG) and Rigging (RG) High Risk Work Licences
- Proficiency in MIG and Arc welding techniques, (TIG desirable bit not essential)

About the role:
The Mobile Maintenance team is currently seeking a Maintainer Boilermaker to join them.
Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Maintenance, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on our diverse fleet of heavy equipment.
This position will mark out, cut, shape, assemble and join metal materials and parts to mobile equipment to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, in accordance with site procedures and instructions.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes – bus available from Bunbury location only) and other nearby scenic communities. As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor as Technician Maintenance Fabricator, the purpose of this role is to safely execute maintenance work within an operation area as per SAP processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Supervisor Maintenance. This role will be offered on aPermanent basis.
Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures
- Ensure compliance to the SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the SAP system
- Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions as directed by the supervisor maintenance or superintendent maintenance
- Ensure work is done to the highest standard and history is recorded in SAP notifications for future reference
- Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
- Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
- Actively support and apply the company’s continuous improvement principles to minimize cost, maximize production
- Maintain their welding qualifications as per the Worsley Standard and as per the area specific needs

About the Role:
Our WA operations have never been busier! Join our growing and dynamic team of boilermakers supporting our clients across the Pilbara, Goldfields and Perth metro region on various rosters.
Mader has the largest customer base of any HME service provider in the state, meaning our Boilermakers have exposure to the widest variety of equipment and sites in the mining industry.
Prior experience in working on mobile plant equipment - buckets, trays & crack repairs is required and working with a variety of welding wires including Hobart XLR8, 71-81 dual shield, 232 and 311 inner shield is essential.

Full-time salaried positions are on offer for a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts. Fly In, Fly Out from Perth WA and Brisbane QLD.

Barminco are seeking applications for a Boilermaker to join our experienced and highly skilled maintenance team for the Hazelmere Workshop. The position will provide metal fabrication support to the maintenance team on a 5/2 roster.
Key Requirements
- Experience working on heavy-duty machinery including earthmoving, Agricultural Equipment and Heavy Road Transport.
- Repairs and general maintenance with buckets and tray repairs.
- Maintain equipment and work areas.
- Pickup materials and work across other duties within the workshop.
- Underground and mining experience desirable but not essential.
- Relevant Trade Certificate necessary
- A valid Working at Heights (or the ability to obtain).
- A valid manual Australian driver licence.
- Ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
