Qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with practical expertise in rock mechanics, tunnelling or mining engineering. About the role
We are now looking for a Resource Definition Geologist. Join a very stable team of well experienced and collaborative high performers, who know how to have fun in a fast-paced environment.
Our Geology team strives for excellence promoting a strong safety culture on site and in the community. The team’s manager leads by example, has an open-door policy, and believes in giving full autonomy to allow you to manage your priorities.
You will be well supported to facilitate and execute surface drill programs. Main duties will include:

Drill rig supervision and support to ensure the timely delivery of results in line with the site drill schedule.

Digital logging of drill core and RC chips, at the required productivity to maintain pace with drilling activities. Ensure drill core samples are despatched to the lab and assay results reviewed against logging.

Daily communication with Project Geologist on drill program progression and maintaining up to date maps and sections with geology data.

Supervise and mentor junior geologists and graduates.

Preparing completion reports for regulatory reporting, outlining results and completing drill hole validations.
About you
Naturally, you are an effective communicator who can quickly establish rapport with stakeholders at all levels. Working in a collaborative team you will be open to feedback, respect other’s opinions, be organised and display an efficient and proactive approach.
You will have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology (preferably with honours)
- 1 year’s minimum industry experience.
- Drill rig supervision experience, initiative, and drive to achieve success.
- Knowledge of gold deposit geology, mining standards and regulations.
- Experienced digital logging to databases (e.g acQuire).
- Competent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of commonly used geology 3D & GIS software (QGIS and Leapfrog are strongly preferred).

About the role
With exciting growth happening across our operations, we are now looking for an experienced Open Pit Mine Geologist to join our team, supporting our growing open pit mines at our Mungari Operations:
The Mine Geologist is critical to the performance of the Geology Team, execution of the mine plan, and seeking business improvement opportunities in line with our overall operational plans. Typical duties include:
- Performing accurate and detailed geological mapping and sampling.
- Performing ore spotting when requested, regularly communicating with the mining team to optimise ore extraction.
- Supervising grade control and resource development drilling programs and ensure that QAQC is maintained.
- Assisting with the management of the Castle Hill open pit mining contractor, the ROM-to-ROM haulage contractor and geological drilling contractors.
- Visiting ROM pads daily for accurate and timely reconciliation of stockpiles and ore movement tracking. Overseeing daily mine production data entry and tracking, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all reports to key stakeholders and assisting with EOM reconciliations and stockpile balances.
- Assisting the Senior Geologist and Project Geologist, where requested, in the design and coordination of geological drilling activities to provide appropriate data for low risk mine design and scheduling.
About you
As a passionate Geologist, you demonstrate a ‘safety first’ mindset, strive for excellence, and take accountability. You will be an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to quickly establish rapport with multiple stakeholders, adding value to a collaborative team, being open to constructive feedback, respect opinions and challenge constructively to build trust and create an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work.

- Tertiary qualification in geology or geosciences.
- 2-3 years industry experience in mine geology and grade control practices preferably in an open pit environment
- A sound understanding of grade control processes.
- Drilling contractor management experience an advantage
- A sound understanding of geology work standards and practices including grade control processes and relevant sections of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
- Intermediate skills with modelling software (Datamine, Leapfrog or similar) and database software (acQuire or similar) with OrePro3D skills an advantage.
- Experienced in technical report writing, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, comfortable with working to tight deadlines on multiple tasks.

We are now seeking a Production Assistant to join our Mine Geology team at Tropicana Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will assist Mine Geologists with all aspects of underground production activities including grade control, data validation, liaising with contractors, conducting inspections and monitoring of mining activities.
This is a site-based role on an 8/6 roster from Perth or Kalgoorlie.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring ore mining activities, identifying and communicating issues affecting quality of ore mining methods
- Validation of daily material movement data with regards to loading, haulage and ROM transfer
- Liaising with mining contractors on production reporting data, data QAQC and validation
- Providing interface between production and geology department
- Managing underground and MOP stockpiles
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team by constructively identifying opportunities and testing solutions
About You

Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50), is in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations, boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile of more than 10 years.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a qualified geotechnical support service within the mine that will assist in achieving budgeted development and production and meeting all quality standards, including safety, cost, and environment.

Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be responsible for planning, executing and interpreting drilling programs that support resource growth and project advancement. Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Technical rig supervision including production monitoring and injection bore design
- Hydrogeological logging of drill samples
- Supervision of drilling and pump test contractors on site, including drill pad management
- Undertake field work (e.g. groundwater sampling, well installations, site reconnaissance, water level measurements, bore census)
- Data interpretation and management including test pump analysis
- Internal and regulatory reporting
- Liaison between mine planning, dewatering teams and other departments on site
What we're looking for:
- A degree or an equivalent tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology or related science
- Field supervision experience
- Skilled in hydro software (ArcGIS, Aqtesolv, LogPlot, etc.)
- Experience and proven ability to oversee and working with drilling, pump testing and other contractors on site.
- Excellent data management and communication skills

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth
The Project Geologist plays a key role in supporting the Senior Resource Definition Geologist in delivering critical mining plans. This role involves designing and executing drilling programs to support both short-term (two-year) and long-term (ten-year) mine plans. Additionally, the Project Geologist is responsible for coordinating near-mine exploration activities aimed at identifying new mining opportunities near existing operations. The role also involves providing guidance and daily support to rig geologists to ensure the success of drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage reverse circulation drilling programs to meet project objectives.
- Provide leadership and be a role model for safety behaviours. Step up into Senior Geologist role as required.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to rig geologists.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) standards throughout all drilling operations.
- Geological modelling and interpretation of drilling campaigns utilising geological, geochemical and geophysical data.
- Assay and geological data management, internal QAQC, data collection/validation.
- Preparing accurate technical reports for internal purposes.

About the Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer at Evolution Mining’s Mungari operations and reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting underground mining activities through expert geotechnical analysis, design, and risk management. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing geotechnical input into mine design, scheduling, and ground support systems.
- Conducting geotechnical mapping, core logging, and numerical modelling to assess ground conditions and performance.
- Monitoring seismic activity and supporting the use of IMS seismic systems and data analysis.

Senior Hydrogeologist
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to support our Sino Iron operation, located at Cape Preston. This permanent role operates on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
Reporting to the Superintendent Geotech & Hydrogeology, this role focuses on developing and implementing advanced groundwater models to support dewatering, geotechnical, and mining operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop groundwater and pore pressure models including calibration, sensitivity, and uncertainty analysis to support mining and geotechnical engineering.
- Assist the approvals, licensing, and closure teams by providing accurate groundwater models.
- Design and implement pit dewatering strategies, surplus water management, and surface flooding models.
- Work collaboratively with hydrogeologists and geotechnical engineers from concept through to final model development.
- Implement groundwater and surface water management plans to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to field staff and contractors.
- Manage groundwater and surface water data collection, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- Lead field programs for groundwater investigations, including groundwater supply, dewatering, depressurisation, and quality assessments.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering or a Geoscience Degree with relevant experience in Hydrogeology.
- Proven technical capabilities in the areas of groundwater and surface water management with demonstrated experience working in open pit operation and groundwater model experience.
- Hands-on experience with groundwater and pit pore pressure modelling software, such as FeFlow, MINEDW, HEC-RAS, TOFLOW, ArcGIS, Surfer, Leapfrog, Aquifer Test Analysis Software, Vulcan, SQL databases, and PowerBI.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with experience preparing technical reports and presentations.
- A current manual driver’s licence is essential.
