About the role
As we gear up for exciting future expansion projects, we're looking for experienced Underground Geologists to join our dynamic and well-established team at Mungari.

In a typical day you will:
- Take charge of detailed underground geological mapping, both ore and waste and guide ore headings with confidence. Your expert eye will ensure nothing valuable goes unnoticed.

About you
You will be either be a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area, or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster.
To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of one year’s experience working in an underground environment and tick the below criteria.·
- 2-3 years industry experience in mine geology and grade control practices
- A minimum of 1 year experience underground.
- Understanding of geology work standards and practices
- Experience working within narrow vein gold mining (highly desirable)
- Contractor management and familiarity with mine planning (highly desirable)
- Intermediate skills with modelling software (Datamine, Leapfrog or similar) and database software (acQuire or similar)
- Understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills

About the Role
We are currently seeking the talents of a dynamic and technically skilled Senior Mine Geologist to join our team. This will be a FIFO role on a 5:2 and 4:3 roster.
Reporting to the Superintendent Geology Mining, in this key position you will drive the technical development of the Mine Geology team. Key responsibilities will include:
• An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
• Coordinating the collection, analysis and interpretation of geological data
• Directing the delivery of best practice grade control and mining geology core routines
• Ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information from the Geoscience and Exploration Mining Geology function into all customer groups including Production, Scheduling, Mine Planning and Processing
• Driving the development and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across the function
• Review all outputs from Mine Geologists and action corrective measures to ensure that the highest technical standards are maintained

About You

Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to Fortescue’s vision and values to inspire a large team with the support of the Superintendent
- Maintain a strong field presence to maintain the visible leadership within a large team, promoting safe work practices from contractors and FMG staff with the support of the Drill Compliance and HSES teams

About the role:

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director Technical, The General Manager – Water, Tailings and Geotechnical is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance and technical oversight of water management, tailings storage facilities (TSF’s) and geotechnical risks across the company’s mining operations and projects. As the Senior Geologist Resource Definition, you will be involved in a diverse range of geological models as we have a healthy resource definition and exploration budget.
Leading a team of seven geologists you will be responsible for mentoring and supervising the team’s daily activities and ensuring technically that their development needs are met.

- Being actively involved in the Geology budget considering drill priorities align with site strategy.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience across exploration and production
- Minimum of 5+ years gold experience
- Experience working at a senior level mentoring other Geologists.
- Understanding of economic ore deposits, geochemistry & structural geology.
- Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements
- Advanced understanding of geological interpretation and current 3D modelling techniques, block modelling and QAQC protocols.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Supervise Reverse Circulation (RC) drill rigs and manage drilling campaigns with a strong safety-first approach
- Conduct high-quality logging of RC chips and ensure optimal sample quality
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the Resource Definition team
- Foster a positive safety culture through visible field leadership and adherence to Fortescue's safety policies and procedures
- Review and maintain HSES and OH&S documentation and ensure compliance with all site-specific protocols

About the role
This is a 12-month fixed-term position to provide maternity cover. The role is responsible for managing drilling programmes on time and within budget, constructing and validating 3D geological models, and applying appropriate resource estimation techniques to develop block models.
You will mentor and supervise geologists and field staff to ensure that data is complete and accurate. Reporting to the Senior Geologist Resource Definition, you will develop strategies to manage multiple projects and effectively communicate results.
Key responsibilities will also include but not be limited to:
- Ensure legal and statutory requirements are adhered to (DEMIRS)
- Evaluation of resource definition targets to assess likelihood of economic viability and input into site database.
- Build/validate 3D geological models in Leapfrog Geo
- Ensure data is validated and the database is complete.
- Planning and interpretation of geophysical and geochemical data.
- Delivery of completion reports, resource statements and compilation of data for annual technical reporting to JORC standards.
- Assisting with periodical reporting and company presentations.
- QAQC reporting and compliance for projects and participate in laboratory audits.
- Lease management tasks including MLA applications, relinquishments, and EOT reports. Update company software packages with up-to-date tenement information.
- Encourage, participate and assist to implement continuous improvement in all work-related activities.
- Assume senior geologist’s responsibilities in their absence.
- Update, develop and manage procedures as required utilising CDMS and document control system
About you
The Project Geologist Resource Definition role presents the opportunity for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist to join an operation that fosters and encourages development. It is important that you have/ can demonstrate:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in drill contractor management.
- Highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation
- Experience using Datamine and Leapfrog
- Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements

We are now seeking an Exploration Geologist to join our Exploration team based at Tropicana Gold Mine.
As part of the team accountable to the Superintendent: Exploration and reporting directly to the Senior Exploration Geologist this role is accountable for supporting exploration activities and completing assigned project work that furthers geological understanding and exploration success in the near-mine and regional environments. There is a requirement for remote camp work up to three hours’ drive from the mine for up to eight days at a time as part of the role.
This role is offered on a permanent basis and is based on a FIFO 8/6 roster out of Perth or Kalgoorlie.
Accountabilities:
- Adhering to all safety procedures and always working in a safe manner
- Developing and maintaining harmonious, productive working relationships with all contractors and colleagues
- Independent supervision of drilling activities, ensuring a high level of safety, environmental compliance, and sample QAQC
- On-ground contractor management and supervision of drill crews, downhole surveyors, and laboratory QAQC
- High quality geological logging of aircore, RC and diamond core
- Completing project work as assigned, including geological interpretation, 3D modelling, targeting, and drill hole planning
- Assisting in maintaining and ensuring the integrity of the exploration database.
- Providing mentoring and training to graduate geologists and field technicians
About You

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to support our Sino Iron operation, located at Cape Preston. This permanent role operates on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
Reporting to the Superintendent Geotech & Hydrogeology, this role focuses on developing and implementing advanced groundwater models to support dewatering, geotechnical, and mining operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop groundwater and pore pressure models including calibration, sensitivity, and uncertainty analysis to support mining and geotechnical engineering.
- Assist the approvals, licensing, and closure teams by providing accurate groundwater models.
- Design and implement pit dewatering strategies, surplus water management, and surface flooding models.
- Work collaboratively with hydrogeologists and geotechnical engineers from concept through to final model development.
- Implement groundwater and surface water management plans to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to field staff and contractors.
- Manage groundwater and surface water data collection, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- Lead field programs for groundwater investigations, including groundwater supply, dewatering, depressurisation, and quality assessments.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering or a Geoscience Degree with relevant experience in Hydrogeology.
- Proven technical capabilities in the areas of groundwater and surface water management with demonstrated experience working in open pit operation and groundwater model experience.
- Hands-on experience with groundwater and pit pore pressure modelling software, such as FeFlow, MINEDW, HEC-RAS, TOFLOW, ArcGIS, Surfer, Leapfrog, Aquifer Test Analysis Software, Vulcan, SQL databases, and PowerBI.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with experience preparing technical reports and presentations.
- A current manual driver’s licence is essential.

About the role

As the Senior Geologist Resource Definition, you will be involved in a diverse range of geological projects with over 50 deposit styles, as such we have a healthy resource definition and exploration budget moving into FY26 .
Leading a team of seven geologists you will be responsible for mentoring and supervising the team’s daily activities and ensuring technically that their development needs are met.
Key responsibilities will also include but not be limited to:
- Being actively involved in the Geology budget considering drill priorities align with site strategy.
- Manage the integration of geological data from drilling activities and external sources into the site database.
- Compile and integrate geological data, studies, technical data and consultant reports to develop robust geological interpretations and estimations.
- Input into resource updates and Mineral Resource reporting requirements
- Oversee the management of the Mungari tenements, ensuring that compliance & statutory requirements are met.
- Ensure legal compliance (DEMIRS)
- Make recommendations for future work, be collaborative and facilitate group project reviews and planning. Fostering a business improvement culture within the geology team. Assisting in selecting appropriate techniques and procedures for all initiatives and projects.
About you
The Senior Geologist Resource Definition presents the opportunity for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist to join an operation that fosters and encourages development. It is important that you have / can demonstrate:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience across exploration and production
- Minimum of 5+ years gold experience
- Experience working at a senior level mentoring other Geologists.
- Understanding of economic ore deposits, geochemistry & structural geology.
- Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements
- Advanced understanding of geological interpretation and current 3D modelling techniques, block modelling and QAQC protocols.
- Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation
- Experience using Datamine and Leapfrog
- Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values
You will be either a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area and work a 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, or FIFO from Perth, Thursday to Thursday.

Hydrogeologist
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
**Roster:**Monday to Friday (5:2), permanent, full time but with part time option available for discussion
Join the Perth-based Water Planning team to assist with groundwater management planning and hydrogeological investigations for our Chichester Operations. The Chichester Operation is one of the largest, most complex dewatering systems in the world and integrates mine dewatering, water supply and managed aquifer recharge.
The role, which would be ideal for an early career or intermediate level Hydrogeologist, will primarily assist the Project Hydrogeologists with development and coordination of drilling and project scopes, ongoing assessment of aquifer response to dewatering, reporting as required for investigations and regulatory commitments and hydrogeological analysis.
Reporting to the Senior Hydrogeologist, the position requires excellent communication, time management and determination to develop the technical skills required to help ensure robust hydrogeological assessments are completed on time and are effectively communicated to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scope of work documents for drilling and testing to meet scheduled timeframes
- Conduct scope handover meetings with site hydrogeologists and incorporate any feedback into revisions to the scope of works
- Assist with any technical queries during drilling and testing process
- Ensure planning hydrogeologists are informed about any drilling outcomes that influence conceptual or modelling outcomes
- Ensure drilling outcomes are incorporated into conceptualisations and leapfrog model updates
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure data management and quality is maintained
- Assess hydrogeological responses to abstraction and injection for the purpose of re-conceptualisation and adaptive management
- Assist with hydrogeological reporting as required for investigations and regulatory commitments
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with other business units and external parties
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree or an equivalent tertiary qualification in Engineering Geology, Hydrogeology or Geosciences. MSc in Hydrogeology preferred
- Experience in or ability to demonstrate an understanding of mine water management and/or water drilling
- Knowledge of hydrogeological software packages
- Strong data management and manipulation skills
- Strong team skills and a willingness to conduct short site trips on occasion
