The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced trade qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join or Resources Operations Team at our site in Regional Western Australia
The successful candidate should be ambitious, enjoy a challenge and have a strong trade background including experience with the operation of facilities maintenance services for infrastructure at remote mine site locations.
Role Details:
- General refrigeration works to residential accommodation and mine site assets to a high standard, and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
- Responsible for preparing new installations of industrial, commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Repairs and maintenance of air conditioning plant, including, room air conditioners, split units, evaporative coolers and all other general AC work
- Repairs and maintenance of refrigeration equipment, including, ice machines, drinking water fountains, cool rooms, freezer rooms, refrigerated sea containers, dining room equipment, including, cold wells, drink dispensers, display fridges, bar facilities and all other general refrigeration work
- On-call requirements
- Assisting all trades (electrical, plumbing, general building)
What we are looking for:
- Applicants must hold current trade qualifications for the Western Australia working environment
- Current National Refrigerant Handling License
- Current WA Restricted Electrical License
- Current C Class Driver's License
- Previous experience providing maintenance services in a remote mining village environment is desirable.
- Experience in the provision of high-quality customer service
- Ability to work independently
- Sound documentation and computer skills, experience using works management systems via mobile devices, well regarded
- Working at heights certificate, well regarded
- Forklift operator’s license, well regarded
- Experience with central chilled water plant, including air cooled chillers (Hitachi), chilled water pumps (Grundfos), large air handling plant (Saiver) and Alerton controls will be well regarded

We are now seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Underground Electrical Maintenance team in our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Reporting to the Underground Electrical Maintenance Supervisor: you will have the opportunity to provide front line support and ensure all electrical works are carried out in a safe, timely, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner.
This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.
Accountabilities:
- Doing repairs, maintenance and installation activities on infrastructure such as, motors, VSDs, transformers, substations, starter panels, distribution boards, RMU’s, ventilation fans, dewatering systems, instrumentation, communications, lighting, and other electrical systems
- Carrying out scheduled statutory requirements work safely and efficiently.
- Installing and maintaining underground reticulation systems, ensuring reliable power distribution.
- Conducting breakdown and maintenance tasks on underground drilling equipment to minimize downtime.
- Studying plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and or installations
- Availability after hours on a "Call Out" roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdown
- Assist with equipment maintenance shutdown or power isolation co-ordination and execution
About You

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with WA electrical regulations, standards, and procedures within Fortescue.

About the Role
The role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth. These sites include South Flank, Yandi, Jimblebar and Newman.
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities/repairs on mobile plant & equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively on plant and equipment such as autonomous Trucks and other essential critical Mobile Fleet such as Shovels, Excavators, Drills, Front end loaders, Dozers –Track and wheeled, Graders, Rollers, and Water carts
- Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks on equipment as required.
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required.
- Be comfortable in the use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders.
- Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions within the scope of ability without being supervised.
- Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates within area of responsibility.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and prioritising when required.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way.
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
- Australian recognised Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification (Heavy Industry)
- Current Automotive Refrigerant Handling licence
- Forklift and High Risk Working licence
- Strong auto electrical maintenance experience with sound diagnostic abilities
- Experience working on CAT Haul Trucks 793F Haul Trucks
- Exposure to CAT Minestar Autonomous system
- Experience with Cummins, Liebherr & Caterpillar Equipment
- Experience within Mining industry preferred, however agricultural or heavy industry will be considered
- Ability to work off schematic drawings
- Strong presentation, communication and coaching skills and the ability to work closely in a team environment

The Opportunity
Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking experienced Engineer – Electrical & Control to join our Maintenance team on a permanent 8/6 roster, FIFO ex Perth.
Reporting to the Superintendent Electrical & Control Engineering, this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Engineering support focussing on analysing plant and equipment failures or unavailability, responding to and resolving electrical and plant control breakdowns as the first priority.
- Provision of technical support to Maintenance and Operations personnel to ensure that the Port materials handling plant and equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
- Execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects resulting in improved plant/equipment performance, reliability and utilisation and safety
- Input into and support of strategic direction of the Plant Control Systems and plant automation
Successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering of a related discipline (acceptable for award of MIEAust, TMIEAust or AMIEAust)
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduate working experience, ideally within the mining sector or a related industry, specifically materials handling plant, including rail mounted balanced machines (stacker, reclaimer, shiploader) and conveyor systems
- Substantial working experience with PLC (Allen-Bradley and Siemens), CitectSCADA, instrumentation, VSD, MCC and electrical motors
- Demonstrated capability in working with a range of PLC & SCADA systems, communications protocols and networks
- Demonstrated exposure to and use of project management principles including scope, budget, design, commissioning and close-out
- Proficiency with SAP
- Hold or have ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- A current Drivers Licence is essential.

About the Role
The role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth. These sites include South Flank, Yandi, Jimblebar and Newman.
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities/repairs on Light Vehicles and Auxiliary equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively on equipment such as Heavy Road Transport, Light Vehicles, Service Trucks, MPU’s, Lighting plants, Generators
- Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks on equipment as required.
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required.
- Be comfortable in the use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders.
- Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions within the scope of ability without being supervised.
- Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates within area of responsibility.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and prioritising when required.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way.
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
- Australian recognised Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification (Heavy Industry)
- Current Automotive Refrigerant Handling licence
- Forklift HRWL
- Strong auto electrical maintenance experience with sound diagnostic abilities
- Desirable Experience working on Scania, Toyota, Mobile cranes, Mitsubishi
- Experience within Mining industry preferred, however agricultural or heavy industry will be considered

• Following scheduled planned / breakdown maintenance and carrying out inspections on equipment as required
• Execute work orders as per schedule and to a high standard

About You

The opportunity
We’re seeking a driven and experienced Operator Maintainer Technician – HV to support our Power Plant team. This is your chance to be part of something new and exciting in the Pilbara. This role will be on a permanent basis, 2/1 FIFO day shift roster FIFO from Perth to Cape Preston.
In this role you’ll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, technical fault finding, HV switching and improvements to the HV Power network, including generation, transmission and distribution networks in order to ensure consistent and reliable power supply, as well as ensuring the safe operation of high voltage equipment and systems.
As an Operator Maintainer Technician – HV you will also analyse complex technical systems, determine the cause of malfunctions and contribute your specialist advice to identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, reducing waste and optimising resources.
To be successful in the role you must have the following qualifications:
- It is essential that you have at least 3 years power network operations and maintenance experience
- Candidates with trade qualifications (Electrical) will be looked upon most favourably,
- Experience in HV equipment operations, maintenance and testing. Including sound knowledge of in HV operational and isolation procedures
- High voltage switching ticket is desirable
- Sound understanding of power system protection equipment and its operation
- SAP Maintenance Management System experience is desirable
- A current WA Manual Drivers licence is an essential requirement
In addition you will perform maintenance, improvements and technical fault finding.

- Managing the maintenance budget and operating plan to minimise costs while meeting availability, reliability, and capital goals is essential. Moreover, you'll be tasked with defining staffing needs, selection criteria, and development plans for the team, while closely collaborating with other functions to ensure performance across the organisation.
- Ensures optimum utilisation and productivity of plant, labour and equipment by the preparation of detailed work packages and plans.
- Conducts work unit training, safety compliance and departmental scheduling and productivity.
- Develops and manages the maintenance budget an operating plan that minimizes cost while achieving goals for availability, reliability and capital plans.
- Defines staffing needs, selection/assessment criteria, and development needs.
- Collaborates closely with other functions in the performance of duties.

About the role
This role is based in Kalgoorlie and candidates must either already reside in Kalgoorlie or be willing to relocate from within Australia to be considered.

Duties:
- Complete inspections, servicing, repairs, and fleet maintenance

About the Role
We are seeking Technician Electrical to join the Village Maintenance Team. This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, Monday to Thursday, based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
Reporting to the HV Electrical Supervisor, your role will be to safely maintain and repair our high voltage assets across various sections of the Refinery, Mine, and Port Facility.

- Proven experience in High Voltage electrical maintenance, particularly in large-scale operations.

Reporting to the Energy Operations Northern Region Superintendent you will join a technically disciplined team and demonstrate an ability to deliver against a wide variety of High Voltage Electrical activities which is essential to our teams success.
The Energy Operations Northern Region portfolio comprises of a 117MW Solar Farm, 26MW Battery Storage System, 220kV Transmission network from Lambda Substation to Port Hedland, 33kV distribution network supporting Iron Bridge Operations, 16MW & 4MW emergency diesel power stations for the Iron Bridge Operation and Camp emergency and future project for a 250MWh Battery Storage System facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective supervision and direct your team to execute the daily schedule and perform frequent field leadership activities on the team
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner, weekly plans are adhered to and that daily tasks do not affect the supply of power to the transmission or Distribution networks
- Record all field leadership and identified hazards into the business management system and provide feedback to the team on a daily basis.
- Manage onsite contractors and to ensure compliance with Fortescue and industry standards
- Ensure current role descriptions are available and set clear expections and standards for team members
- Maintain KPI's and cmpliance to SAP maintenance strategies, plan work and avoid reactive maintenance
- Ensure employees conduct themselves in accordance with Fortescue's code of conduct and Values
- Contribute to a highly skilled and capable workflorce by supporting individual's personal and professional development through structured development plans and ongoing on the job coaching and mentoring

Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical trade qualifications - WA Electrical workers licence
- High Voltage swithcing certificate with relevant network switching experience
- Working at heights trained
- A current 'C Class' WA Manual Driver's Licence
- HR Driver's licence Desirable
- Current High Risk work licence - WP
- Schedule 26 statutory supervisor exam completed
- Experience in Electrical Supervision role responsibilities with a minimum of 3 years as an Electrical Supervisor
- Experience in large scale transmission networkds and operation of GIS switchgear
- Experience with all aspects of HV power distribution and transmission systems
- Experience and an understanding of Supervisor legislative responsibilities and Electrical statutory requirements
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in high voltage electrical networks or similar
- Advanced electrical system competence of low and high voltage operations and maintenance practicies
- Knowledge of electrical statutory obligations including requirements of following relevant electrical Australian Standards including AS3000, Electrical Code of practice and Work Health & Safety Regulations 2022, Electricity Act and relevant Australian Standards relating to high voltage installations
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- Previous experience as an in-house nominee signing off Electrical installations in accordance with Australian Standards and Electrical licensing regulations

- Experience with Epiroc M7C and E70S drills and MT65 trucks, CAT R2900 and 2900XE loaders and Sandvik development drills DD421 and DD422.
- Experience with Volvo 120F IT’s and Normet Charge Wagons preferable
- Automotive Air Conditioning License is essential
- Valid manual driver’s license
- High Risk license with Forklift, RB, DG is essential, EWP is desirable

Electrician
Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking experienced Electrician to join our Port Maintenance team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Port Maintenance, this role is responsible for safely, effectively, and productively undertaking servicing, repair and maintenance of all Electrical plant & equipment – Reclaimer, Stackers, Bargeloader & Marine assets. There is also the opportunity to work on board the Magdragon 2 Transhipper Vessel and perform maintenance works on the ocean-going vessels such as the Crew Transfer vessels & Tugs either whilst alongside the wharf or at sea.
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
- Fault finding, maintenance and repairs on the vessel.
- Monitor the Operation of the plant via Citect / SCADA
- Respond in a timely manner to all Operational stoppages and delays.
