About the role

We are looking for an experienced, safety conscious Mechanical Maintainers to join our team at Cape Lambert. The purpose of this role will be to provide a safe and efficient facility through the execution of mechanical fault finding, planned and opportune maintenance.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working in a collaborative community, the role will require you to:

• Complete preventative/corrective/planned /operational maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area, including but not limited to, conveyors, balanced machines, car dumpers
• Conduct routine inspections of all fixed plant assets
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects by increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost
• Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
• Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks

About you

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• A Mechanical Engineering/Fitting/Fabrication Trade Qualification
• Experience working on the following equipment: car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers and shiploaders.
• Proficiency in motor/gearbox, Pulley and Bucketwheel changeouts, as well as ability to conduct high quality maintenance inspections.
• Working at Heights, confined space, EWP, Forklift tickets/license
• A Manual C-class Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable)

Where you’ll be working

Our integrated operations, which include port facilities, ensure we can supply the right quality product to our customers when they need it. We blend our products at our own ports, which allows us to produce a reliable and consistent product. And because we have dedicated shipping operations, we are able to better control the delivery of product to our customers.

We operate 4 independent shipping terminals at 2 locations, Cape Lambert and Dampier, managed as a single port system.

Dampier has terminals at Parker Point and East Intercourse Island, loading approximately 3 ships per day.
