About Cadia

Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method. 3

Overview:

Are you an experienced electrician seeking a challenging and rewarding career in the mining industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled electrician to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in maintaining the electrical systems that power our mining operations.

You will ensure assets and electrical installations are maintained to the relevant Australian standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and other electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a secure work environment for all employees.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Provide timely response to emergency electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime and production disruptions.
• Implementation of fixed plant continuous improvement strategies and projects

Requirements:

• Trade Qualification & Electrical License.
• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings, with specific experience in mining operations being a strong asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A  a positive attitude to work and safety.

Please note: This is a permanent full-time role based at our Cadia mine site on a 7D/7X/7N/7X roster (12HR Thurs-Wed). Residential only, no FIFO or DIDO options available.
