Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 7D7R FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor - the NPI Electrician will be responsible to deliver safe, high quality maintenance work as required to the Infrastructure Services team. The successful execution of this work will be paramount in the site achieving safety and production targets. Infrastructure Services maintains assets across the entire mine site operations and camp facilities including, but not limited to accommodation buildings, offices, workshops, wastewater treatment plants and fuel farms
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high safety focus and conduct risk assessments prior to tasks
- Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance across mine and village infrastructure
- Perform fault finding, repairs and installations on electrical systems and equipment
- Use SAP to raise notifications, close work orders and complete time confirmations
- Participate in daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Report hazards, incidents and ensure compliance with company procedures and standards
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical trade qualification and current WA ‘A’ Class Electrical Licence
- Proven experience as an experienced electrician in mining or heavy industry
- Strong fault finding skills with experience in control panels and electrical systems
- Experience with small light and power installations and maintenance
- Sound understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
- Leading hand experience (desirable) and exposure to SAP or similar systems (desirable)
