About this roleTransmission Electrician Regional WA. About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Transmission Electrician to support the delivery, operation, and maintenance of high-voltage transmission network assets across regional Western Australia. This role will see you involved in a broad range of field-based activities including installation, commissioning, fault finding, and maintenance of network infrastructure, contributing to safe and reliable power delivery across the grid. Key Responsibilities * Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage electrical and communication systems across transmission networks. * Perform testing and commissioning activities on network assets and associated systems. * Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions across electrical and secondary systems. * Support the delivery of construction and upgrade projects, including large and complex installations. * Develop and execute switching programs, commissioning plans, and maintenance schedules. * Work closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure efficient and safe project delivery. * Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, compliance, and operational standards. * Contribute to achieving key performance targets across safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. * Maintain accurate records and reporting across all works undertaken. * Travel across regional WA as required to support network operations. Requirements * Current unrestricted WA Electrical Workers Licence (essential). * Proven experience working within transmission or distribution network environments (overhead and/or underground). * Strong understanding of HV systems, switching procedures, and network operations. * Experience in testing, commissioning, and fault finding of electrical infrastructure. * Knowledge of electrical protection systems within transmission/distribution networks. * Familiarity with safety, environmental, and compliance standards in the utilities sector. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider operational team. * * Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.Read moreIs this you?Ideal Candidate Profile
- Qualified electrician with a current WA Electrical Workers Licence * Hands-on experience across high-voltage transmission or distribution networks * Strong background in HV switching, testing, commissioning, and fault finding * Experience working on overhead lines and/or underground network infrastructure * Solid understanding of electrical protection systems and network operations * Proven ability to work on construction, upgrade, and maintenance projects * Comfortable working in remote/regional environments with travel required * Safety-focused with strong knowledge of industry compliance and procedures * Able to work independently in the field while also collaborating with teams and contractors * Ideally coming from a utilities provider, Tier 1 contractor, or network operatorClosing: 24 April 2026Apply NowAGCorporate recruiterAndrew GrealisContact
