Technical Services Superintendent

An opportunity is available to join a Tier 1 mining operation in a permanent Technical Services Superintendentcapacity, supporting large‑scale surface mining operations in Western Australia.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced technical professional looking to influence operational outcomes, lead high‑performing teams, and contribute to the long‑term success of a well‑established mining business.

The Opportunity Reporting into site leadership, you will oversee the technical services function, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant mining operations. You will play a critical role in strategic planning, risk management and continuous improvement while partnering closely with operations and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and optimise surface mining technical services to support operational performance
• Apply strong mine geotechnical expertise to manage risk, slope stability and ground control
• Provide leadership, mentoring and technical direction to site‑based teams
• Ensure compliance with WA mining legislation and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to mine planning, design and execution in line with business objectives
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability and technical excellence

About You

• 6–8+ years’ experience in surface mining within a technical services or geotechnical function
• Demonstrated leadership experience within a mining environment
• Strong understanding of WA regulatory frameworks and site compliance
• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Mine Geology
• WA C Class Driver’s Licence
• WA Quarry Manager Certification (essential)
