Shift Supervisor

Our client is a well-established underground mining operation with a strong reputation for safety, operational excellence and workforce development. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor to lead production crews and ensure safe, efficient delivery of underground operations.

Your new role

Reporting to the Underground Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day underground production activities during your allocated shift. You will lead crews on site, manage operational performance and ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and legislative requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising underground crews to achieve production and development targets
• Leading pre‑start meetings and ensuring clear communication across shifts
• Maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site procedures
• Monitoring ground conditions, equipment performance and work standards
• Coordinating activities with mining, maintenance and technical teams
• Completing shift reports and managing handovers
• Coaching, mentoring and supporting team members on site

What you’ll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience as an Underground Shift Supervisor or equivalent role
• Current WA Underground Supervisor qualifications and statutory tickets
• Strong leadership skills with hands-on approach
• Solid understanding of underground mining practices and safety systems
• Ability to work FIFO or rotating shift rosters
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
