Talent Acquisition Lead

About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Lead plays a critical role within the People and Culture function, leading Evolution Mining’s recruitment and hiring strategy across operational and group‑based roles. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality workforce outcomes through effective talent acquisition, proactive workforce planning and strong partnerships with leaders across the business.

You will lead the attraction and selection of talent across complex, geographically dispersed operations, ensuring recruitment practices are inclusive, efficient and aligned to Evolution’s values and strategic priorities. A strong focus is placed on building sustainable talent pipelines, strengthening employment branding, enhancing candidate experience and continuously improving recruitment performance.

Your work will involve:

• Leading the design and delivery of Evolution’s talent acquisition strategy, workforce planning and forecasting to meet current and future operational and strategic workforce needs.
• Providing leadership to the talent acquisition team, ensuring consistent, timely and high‑quality recruitment outcomes across multi‑site and geographically dispersed operations.
• Partnering closely with Hiring Managers, Site People & Culture Teams and operational leaders, providing expert advice on labour market conditions, attraction strategies and workforce challenges, particularly in regional and remote environments.
• Overseeing end‑to‑end recruitment, including sourcing, vendor management, selection, and governance.
• Using recruitment data, analytics and market insights to drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, time‑to‑fill and quality‑of‑hire outcomes.
• Ensuring recruitment practices align with employment legislation, policy and governance requirements, while supporting Evolution’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and local employment outcomes.
• Acting as a role model for Evolution’s Values through the way you build relationships, influence stakeholders and lead your team.

You are a strategic and creative, commercially astute recruitment leader who brings energy and momentum to turning complex workforce challenges into practical, high‑impact outcomes. You thrive in fast‑paced operational environments and partner confidently with leaders across geographically dispersed sites to deliver results.

Your experience spans end‑to‑end talent acquisition and workforce planning, ideally within mining, resources or similarly complex industries, including open‑cut and underground operations. You bring strong sourcing and talent pooling capability, deep insight into regional and remote labour markets, and the ability to influence hiring decisions in the face of critical skills shortages. You are outcomes‑driven and known for building trusted relationships while delivering high‑quality recruitment outcomes at scale.

This role will work a 5/2 roster from the Brisbane or Sydney office with flexibility options available.
