The Opportunity
As Production Leading Hand, you’ll work closely with site leadership to keep operations running safely and efficiently while supporting operators across daily mining activities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident leading crews in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily mining production activities on shift
- Provide leadership, mentoring and practical support to operators
- Coordinate equipment movements and crew tasks across production areas
- Promote safe work practices through visible field leadership
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox discussions and shift communications
- Monitor operational performance and escalate issues when required
- Support achievement of production targets and site KPIs
- Maintain accurate shift records and operational reporting
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety and performance
About You
- Previous experience in open cut mining operations
- Strong understanding of production mining and heavy equipment activities
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability within mining crews
- Commitment to safe work practices and team accountability
- Effective communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing environment
