The Opportunity

As Production Leading Hand, you’ll work closely with site leadership to keep operations running safely and efficiently while supporting operators across daily mining activities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident leading crews in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily mining production activities on shift
• Provide leadership, mentoring and practical support to operators
• Coordinate equipment movements and crew tasks across production areas
• Promote safe work practices through visible field leadership
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox discussions and shift communications
• Monitor operational performance and escalate issues when required
• Support achievement of production targets and site KPIs
• Maintain accurate shift records and operational reporting
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety and performance

About You

• Previous experience in open cut mining operations
• Strong understanding of production mining and heavy equipment activities
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability within mining crews
• Commitment to safe work practices and team accountability
• Effective communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing environment
