About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to lead the construction, installation, and commissioning support for a major Dome Structure Project within the mining sector. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who can coordinate multidisciplinary crews and ensure all structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all works are completed strictly in accordance with approved drawings and material lists
- Maintain full traceability of all works undertaken
- Oversee construction and erection of SMP components for the dome structure
- Supervise installation of Principal supplied structural, mechanical, and E&I equipment
- Process material take offs and support procurement planning
- Ensure all field inspection checklists are completed with client representatives
- Manage labour relations and maintain a harmonious workplace
- Coordinate site logistics, laydown areas, and material handling
- Perform additional duties as required to support operational needs
About You / Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade
- White Card / Blue Card
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- EWP High Risk Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- Confined Space certification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in SMP supervision or related discipline
- Strong background in mining, construction, or heavy industry
- Proven experience in project planning and resource management
