About the Role
The Opportunity:
As the Superintendent – Planning, Scheduling & Master Data (Fixed Plant), you will lead the Work Management process that underpins the performance and reliability of all fixed plant assets across Gold Fields Australia. This includes process plant, materials handling systems, dewatering and pumping networks, power infrastructure and supporting fixed facilities.
You will guide planning, scheduling, shutdown readiness and master data integrity to the standards set by the Manager – Planning, Scheduling & Master Data, ensuring every task is prioritised, prepared and executed with discipline. Leading the fixed plant planning and scheduling teams, you’ll drive high‑quality work packs, realistic weekly schedules and accurate master data that enable efficient maintenance execution.
Your leadership ensures Work Management standards, KPIs and routines are consistently applied across sites, directly strengthening maintenance productivity, shutdown performance and long‑term fixed plant reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Apply corporate Work Management standards across all fixed plant assets, driving KPI performance in planning quality, scheduling compliance and backlog health.
- Oversee planners and schedulers to deliver accurate work packs, realistic weekly schedules and productivity‑focused maintenance execution.
- Manage fixed plant shutdown scope, critical paths and readiness reviews to ensure safe, efficient and fully aligned execution.
- Ensure CMMS hierarchies, BOMs and strategies remain accurate through disciplined change control and continuous data quality improvement.
- Lead cross‑functional routines with Operations, Supply and Engineering to resolve constraints, maintain schedule alignment and support cost‑efficient delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- Engineering degree or trade background with extensive mining industry experience
- Demonstrated capability leading teams, in supervisory or superintendent roles.
- Expert understanding of Work Management, systems execution and operational processes in mining or processing.
- Champions safety behaviours with strong communication, accountability and relationship‑building skills.
