About the Role
We are seeking several experienced Leading Hand Scaffolders to support current and upcoming shutdown, maintenance and project works across Australia’s largest mine sites. In this casual FIFO role, you’ll access consistent work across 90+ client sites, competitive rates and genuine long-term career opportunities within a well-established national contractor.
We work around crushers, conveyors, screens, and other fixed plant equipment and machinery that keeps major operations running.
As Leading Hand, you will lead crews. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team to erect, modify and dismantle scaffolding in accordance with Australian Standards and job specifications
- Conduct and complete risk assessments before each task and whenever scope of work changes
- Liaising with supervisors and leading your team, providing effective communication, mentorship and addressing issues where necessary
What You’ll Need
We are looking for qualified and safety-focused Supervisors who thrive in fast-paced shutdown and maintenance environments.
Essential:
- Strong Technical Knowledge of Australian Scaffolding Standards with at least 12 months in a leading hand position
- Australian High Risk Work Licence – SA
- Schedule 26 training/qualification
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- The ability to communicate effectively
- A current Australian Drivers Licence - MR or HR Highly desirable
- Working at Heights & Confined Space (within 2 years)
- Construction White Card
- A National Police Check
- Rio, Fortescue MG, Roy Hill, BHP, inductions based mine sites are advantageous
