About the Role

The Opportunity: As the largest global crushing contractor, we have operations across Western Australia - operating in iron ore, lithium and hard rock.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing high quality guidance and leadership to the mining teams, through mentoring, coaching and ensuring a safe work environment.

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Supervisor to join our high performing team at our client site across the Rio Tinto Rehab Project, working on a 2:1 roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Organising and scheduling the rehabilitation crew to meet daily production targets
• Management of production and mechanical break-down issues
• Accountability for providing comprehensive reporting to the management team on production achievements, challenges and issues
• Providing effective guidance, coaching and mentoring to site personnel
• Maintaining and fostering a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service
• Development of working relationships with key stakeholders, including client, on site
• Work closely with maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure fast turnaround on breakdowns
• Directly monitor fleet productivity in real time, taking immediate corrective action when output drops below plan targets
• Aggressively identify and remove bottlenecks in rehabilitation operations to maximise operating time

About You / Requirements

• Established extensive experience working within a Rehabilitation, Civil Construction or Mining Environment
• Previous experience using Trimble GPS Earthworks Systems or similar
• Ability to read and interpret plans, designs and schedules associated with rehabilitation of pits and landforms
• Previous experience successfully leading a team
• Demonstrated strong problem solving, lateral thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent time management and daily routine rituals
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal with an ability to import knowledge, coach and mentor others
