About the Role

Reporting through to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our Mining teams and processes. This includes managing all aspects of equipment, personnel, and operational procedures to ensure the effective extraction and transportation of materials from the mine site to the processing plant or stockpiles.

You will deliver the mine plan with exceptional precision and ensure our operations consistently meet high standards. Your leadership will ensure operational efficiency and productivity and foster a culture dedicated to safety and continuous improvement.

This position will commence on an 8D6X roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of mining activities to maintain pit standards, road surfaces, and correct asset allocation through regular cycle time reviews
• Monitor and coordinate all mining activities, including drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing.
• Optimise production efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve resource recovery.
• Ensure that all mining operations comply with safety standards, legal regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Assisting with the planning, coordination, and allocation of physical and team resources to achieve weekly outputs.
• Promoting and monitoring the use of safety systems, including relevant tools and documentation, to meet site safety standards.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce project costs, and enhance safety.
• Coaching and developing Supervisors and their respective teams to effectively manage team performance.

About You / Requirements

• Extensive experience working in a leadership role within the operational mining environment
• Current Statutory Supervisor Schedule 26
• Quarry Managers certificate is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of mining equipment and operational processes
• Experience with workforce planning and training needs analysis
• Ability to analyse and interpret technical data to make informed operational decisions
