Job Description

Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking to employ Open Pit Mine Geologists, to join our high performing Geology team in a growing company.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will;

• Take lead on the day-to-day activities of the mine geology team. Coordinate spotting priorities, geology markups and RC Drilling requirements with Geology Technicians, Graduates and Surveyors.
• Produce mineable shapes (blocks) which maximize value and communicate the extraction plan with engineers and the mining team.
• Mentor and support Graduates and Geology Technicians.
• Be a leader for field safety, coordinate regular work area inspections, contribute at safety meetings and be proactive in hazard identification and removal.
• Understand and document the geology of the Admiral deposit
• Work with the project geologist to document and understand the geology of the Admiral Deposit using all the geological tools within your arsenal.

The roles are offered on 8 days on, 6 days off Fly In Fly Out roster from Perth to Leonora. Town based established accommodation in Leonora with great camp facilities including, gym as well as town facilities.

About you:

We are looking for a Mine Geologist who is highly motivated and enjoys working alongside likeminded professionals in a growing team and a growing company.  Someone who is keen to share their knowledge whilst gaining exposure to multiple parts of the wider operation.

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following criteria;

• Qualification in Geology
• Driver’s license (C Class, manual car)
• Experience in open pit gold mining
• Well-rounded technical and geology software skills
