Gold Mining Operation | Western Australia FIFO 8:6 or Residential (Kalgoorlie) | Temp with View to Permanent

A well-established gold mining operation in Western Australia is seeking experienced Mine Geologists and Project Geologists to join their site‑based geology team. These roles are offered on an initial temporary contract with a strong pathway to permanent employment.
With operational flexibility on offer, candidates may choose between an 8:6 FIFO roster or a 5:2 residential arrangement based in Kalgoorlie.

Opportunities exist at both Mine Geologist and Project Geologist levels, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Face and development mapping and sampling

• Production geology interpretation and operational decision‑making

• Development ore control, ore mark‑up and grade control activities

• Core logging, sampling and processing

• Preparation and sign‑off of technical work plans for planned drilling and mining

• Geological database management, updates and reporting

• Daily engagement with mining supervisors and operations crews

• Working autonomously while maintaining high standards of safety, data quality and production support
  About You

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline

• Previous experience in gold mining operations (WA experience preferred)

• Strong capability in production geology and ore control environments

• Sound understanding of development drilling and mining practices

• Proven ability to work independently in an operational setting

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence site outcomes

• Consistent track record of safety‑focused behaviour and production geology coverage
