About the Role

Project Exploration Geologist — Prepare routine and complex reports and perform geological investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpretation of logging and drilling results with assistance in the evaluation of geological modelling, resource estimation and subsequent economic evaluation
• Support Senior Exploration Geologists as required
• Design and implementation of drilling programs
• Supervision of exploration programs including logging, data entry, assessment of results and all aspects of quality control
• Supervise geological fieldwork including mapping, soil/rock sampling, and generation of exploration models
• Ensuring own Health & Safety as well as that of all other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices and completing all required safety training
• Ensuring all tasks are carried out in an environmentally sustainable manner

About You / Requirements

• Driver’s license (C Class, manual car) – essential
• Ability to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) for site access purposes.
• A tertiary qualification in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering
• 3 years’ experience as an Exploration Geologist or similar in gold exploration
• Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks.
• High level of enthusiasm for the work with high performance goals

Qualifications & Certifications

• Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering
• Certifications: Driver’s license (C Class, manual) and National Police Clearance
