This is a residential role based in the Parkes region, working a consistent 7:7 roster with 12-hour shifts—giving you the balance to enjoy life outside of work while contributing to a high-performing underground maintenance team. As part of Evolution Mining, you’ll be working hands-on with heavy mobile equipment in a well-supported environment that values safety, quality, and teamwork. About the role

Join our dedicated Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) team, where your skills help power the heart of underground mining operations at Northparkes. Operating around the clock, this team ensures every piece of mobile equipment is maintained to a fit-for-purpose standard—safe, reliable, and ready to perform. Your work directly influences mining outcomes, from safety and cost control to productivity and tonnes mined.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance across the MEM fleet. You’ll use site work management systems to accurately capture repair details, materials used, and defect data. You’ll collaborate with team leaders and planners to keep maintenance schedules current and responsive to operational needs. Regular inspections of heavy vehicles and quarterly checks will ensure our fleet meets performance standards. With a strong focus on safety and housekeeping, you’ll help uphold Evolution’s Zero Harm commitment while setting the benchmark for maintenance excellence.

About you

• Reside in the Parkes area or willing to relocate to Parkes.
• Hold an Australian-recognised Certificate III Trade Qualification in heavy mobile equipment maintenance.
• Have a minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Experienced in using OEM service manual documentation for diagnostics and repairs.
• Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, with proven people management capabilities.
• Committed to safety as a core part of your work ethic.
• Hold a current “C” Class Australian Driver’s Licence
