Mechanical Supervisor

Your new company

You will be joining a major underground mining operation experiencing steady growth and ongoing expansion works. The site runs on an 8/6 FIFO/DIDO roster from key Queensland hubs, supported by a well structured mechanical maintenance and projects team. As approvals progress later in the year, additional supervisory capability is needed to support increased workload, backfilling and project execution across the underground operation.

Your new role

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will provide frontline leadership across underground mechanical work fronts, supporting expansion activities and ensuring work is delivered safely and efficiently. Reporting through Senior Mechanical Trades and working closely with the Superintendent, you will oversee crews, manage day to day activities, and maintain high standards of performance, safety and compliance. You will assist with both planned expansions and backfill requirements as internal movements occur.

What you need to succeed

• Underground experience is essential
• Proven experience supervising mechanical teams in an underground environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills to manage crews across multiple work fronts
• Ability to support both expansion related work and internal backfill needs
• Solid understanding of underground operating requirements and expectations
