About the Role

Our Fitters will maintain and repair heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment, performing scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs in workshop and underground environments to ensure safe, reliable operations. Flying to site from Perth, Darwin, Brisbane or Alice Springs on a 15/13 roster

Responsibilities

  • Perform all mechanical work in accordance with Redpath and Client Management Systems, statutory requirements, and site standards, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality; -Carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on a fleet of heavy mobile and fixed plant, including fault finding, repair, and component replacement; -Maintain plant, equipment, and workshop facilities to a clean, compliant, and serviceable standard, ensuring adherence to site and regulatory requirements; -Complete all required pre-start checks, Take 5s, JSAs, oil sampling, and actively participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings; -Accurately complete and file maintenance worksheets, documentation, and daily records, and participate in ICAM investigations when required; -Promptly report hazards, incidents, accidents, or near misses, and undertake any other duties as reasonably directed by Redpath that you are competent to perform.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualified HD Diesel Fitter/Mechanic, with demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing underground heavy mobile mining equipment; -Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability, including sound auto-electrical knowledge across mobile and fixed plant; -Holds a valid manual Driver’s Licence, current First Aid & CPR certification, and Working at Heights; -Proven ability to plan, organise, prioritise, and schedule work effectively, adapting to changing operational demands; -Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently with minimal supervision; -Safety-focused and improvement-driven, demonstrating commitment to Redpath’s “Safety - First, Last and Always”, continuous improvement, and innovation.
