Looking for a high-paying mining role with a balanced lifestyle roster? Join our team supporting coal operations near Blackwater, working predominantly on a fleet of Caterpillar D10 & D11 dozers.
We’re seeking experienced Diesel Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics for a permanent DIDO opportunity at the Boonal Coal Stockpile. This role offers consistent work, strong hourly rates, and the chance to specialise in maintaining some of the largest and most recognised dozers in the industry.

About the role: This position sits within the mobile plant maintenance team, with a strong focus on the upkeep, repair, and performance of a fleet largely consisting of CAT D10 & D11 dozers, along with other supporting heavy equipment used in coal stockpile operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar D10/D11 dozers and heavy mobile plant
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance
- Complete component change-outs, rebuilds, and general mechanical work
- Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot equipment faults efficiently
- Carry out daily servicing, inspections, and compliance checks
- Execute planned maintenance tasks within required timeframes
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain safe and efficient site operations
About you:
- Proven experience working on CAT D10/D11 dozers (highly regarded)
- Strong background in heavy diesel / mobile plant maintenance
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
