About the Role
As an Engineering Solutions Specialist (Fluid Management & Water Treatment), you’ll be the go-to expert supporting customers, sales and operations teams with specialist knowledge across pumping, dewatering and water treatment solutions.
Based in Sydney metro, you’ll play a key role in delivering end-to-end fluid management solutions across civil, construction, industrial and infrastructure projects—helping position Coates as a market leader in smart, efficient and compliant water management.
A typical day will include:
- Partnering with sales and operations teams to drive awareness and technical expertise across fluid management and water treatment solutions
- Assessing customer sites and designing fit-for-purpose pumping, dewatering and water treatment solutions
- Identifying opportunities to integrate Coates’ broader offering across general hire, HVAC, industrial and engineering solutions
- Building strong relationships with contractors, asset owners and consultants to grow pipeline and repeat business
- Leading and promoting Coates’ uncompromising Safety First – Zero Harm culture across all projects and interactions
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Strong working knowledge of fluid management, pumping systems, dewatering and/or water treatment solutions
- Experience in technical or solution-based sales (highly regarded) with strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to assess site requirements and translate them into practical, compliant solutions
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the resilience to build relationships and win work
- A genuine interest in developing your career within Engineering Solutions at Coates
- Highly Advantageos to be Degree qualified in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering (or related field such as Environmental Science or Hydrogeology). However not essential.
