Westgold Resources is a progressive West Australian gold producer operating across the Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions. With six underground mines and four processing plants, we offer graduates a diverse, hands‑on start to their mining careers.

About the opportunity

Westgold’s comprehensive two‑year Graduate Program is designed to set you up for success, combining structured mentoring, technical development and site‑based rotations across our WA operations.

You will gain practical underground experience, exposure to production and planning functions, and the opportunity to complete the underground time required toward a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (for those who wish to pursue it).

These roles are FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster.

What you’ll be doing

• Gaining hands‑on experience across underground mining operations
• Supporting production, drill and blast, scheduling and planning activities
• Learning directly from experienced Mining Engineers and site leaders
• Building strong technical, safety and operational foundations
• Developing skills aligned to long‑term career progression within mining

About you

You are motivated, curious and ready to build a career in underground mining.

You will bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (or graduating in 2026/2027)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive learning mindset
• Good computer literacy and technical aptitude
• A current manual C Class driver’s licence
• A National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to pass Westgold’s pre‑employment medical and D&A screening

Vacation work or relevant industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
