We are seeking Graduate Mine Surveyors to join our 2026/2027 Graduate Intake, offering hands‑on exposure across underground and surface operations while building a strong technical foundation for a long‑term career in mining.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will support the Mine Surveying team in delivering accurate and timely surveying services across our operations. You’ll gain practical experience maintaining underground models, supporting mine design execution and contributing to reporting and statutory requirements.
This role provides structured learning, mentoring and exposure to both field and office‑based surveying activities.
What you’ll be involved in
- Assisting with underground and surface survey requirements
- Supporting maintenance of the underground model and mine design execution
- Developing proficiency in autonomous survey tasks over time
- Contributing to end‑of‑month calculations and reporting
- Building CAD processing skills and survey computations
- Prism monitoring surveys and equipment care and maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with safety, health and environmental standards [Survey | Word]
About you
You are enthusiastic, detail‑focused and keen to start your career in mine surveying.
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Surveying
- Strong computer literacy and communication skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- A current manual C Class driver’s licence
- A National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass Westgold’s pre‑employment medical and D&A screening
Vacation work or practical experience is advantageous but not essential.
