About the Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Superintendent – Water Management & Strategy to lead the strategic direction, governance, and continuous improvement of water management across a large operational portfolio.
This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring water‑related risks are effectively managed while delivering compliant, sustainable, and value‑driven outcomes aligned with operational and long‑term business objectives.
Working closely with site, technical, and corporate teams, you will influence decision-making across planning, operations, and closure.
- Develop and implement business‑wide water management strategies aligned with sustainability and operational priorities
- Provide technical governance across water supply, dewatering, storage, treatment, discharge, and reuse systems
- Review and endorse water balances, risk assessments, and long‑term water plans.
- Lead engagement with regulators, internal stakeholders, and external consultants
- Mentor and develop a team of water and environmental professionals
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practice water stewardship
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualified in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in water management within mining, resources, or heavy industry
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem‑solving skills

- This is a permanent role, on an attractive salary, with 14% superannuation and bonuses available for the right candidate.
- This role is FIFO on a 4/3 roster, or a relocation package is also available.
