The Role

Genesis Minerals is seeking to employ a Mining Engineer with production and short term planning experience to join the Open Pit mining team.

This is a permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.

The opportunity:

• Short term mine design;
• Drill and blast design
• Mining evaluation, reconciliation and reporting;
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly development and production schedules;
• Production focussed activities including;

o   Schedule and monitor short-term planning;

o   Coordinate open pit production activities;

o   Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure production plans are executed effectively to optimise ore extraction;

o   Production reporting;

• Liaise with the OP mining in house contractor on a daily basis;
• Monitor and assess geotechnical action plans;
• Undertake productivity and equipment utilisation improvement studies;
• FIFO from Perth to Leonora

What we will expect from you:

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
• A high level of computer literacy with sound understanding of MS office suite, competent user
• of mine design and planning software, Deswik would be highly regarded;
• Post graduate experience in Open Pit mining;
• Quarry Manager ticket or working towards a Quarry Manager’s ticket desirable;
• High level of personal organisational and communication skills; and
