Our Opportunity
Work Location: Split work between Perth and Solomon
- Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
- Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
**Roster:**5D2R4D3R – working in both Perth and FIFO ex Perth to Solomon
Reporting to the Shutdown Planning Supervisor, the Electrical Shutdown Planner will be responsible for developing and managing maintenance plans and schedules to be integrated into the master shutdown schedule, liaising with maintenance Supervisors and stakeholders to ensure that labour capacity and execution team loading is in line with available resources for upcoming plant outages.
Key Responsibilities
- Communication with other departments and collaborate on shutdown work orders.
- Development of detail shutdown work orders and work instructions.
- Development of quality task lists.
- Liaising with peers (from a variety of disciplines) to provide assistance during project work.
- Working with the team members to continually improve planning and shutdown management processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance & Planning.
- A relevant Electrical trade qualification is preferred. Project or Engineering background will be considered.
- Working experience with Maintenance Management systems – experience with SAP highly regarded.
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Excel, Outlook and Project.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Able to create logical work instructions.
- Strong understanding of maintenance execution and industry standards.
- Work within a team environment including liaising with Site Planners, Engineering and Operations to ensure that shutdown work orders are reviewed, planned and ready in a timely manner prior to a shutdown.
