The Opportunity
Our team are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to join our operation on an 8D6X roster.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the team as a Senior and ensuring the delivery of accurate survey data and supporting with operational planning. This role will see you partnering with teams across site to ensure precision in end of month reporting, survey mark ups and volume reconciliation.
Key responsibilities
- Support the team as a Senior, assisting with mentorship of team members and ensuring operational safety
- Conduct comprehensive open pit mine surveying activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
- Manage end of month surveyed volumes – data entry, reconciliation and reporting
- Complete survey mark ups to support mining, drill and blast operations
- Provide timely reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly survey updates
- Utilise Surpac and other relevant software to prepare plans and models
- Collaborate with operational teams to deliver accurate surfaces, designs, and spatial data for production and planning purposes
- Maintain up to date survey records with a strong QA/QC focus
What is Required
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Extensive Mining survey experience, ideally in open pit operations, demonstrating Senior qualities
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy skills
- Proven end of month reporting, volume reconciliation, and survey data management experience
- Proficiency with Surpac and experience with Vulcan highly regarded
- Knowledge of GPS systems, including Trimble RTK highly regarded
- RePL Licence and relevant drone experience essential
