Senior Exploration Geologist

Your new company

Hays is working with an established exploration company delivering a drilling program at a project located north‑east of Perth, Western Australia. The program is scheduled to commence in mid-April and is expected to run through to mid-October.

Your new role

As the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will play a key leadership role in a full team build, overseeing day-to-day geological activities and supporting the successful execution of the program. You will act as the Statutory Supervisor onsite, leading field crews and contractors while ensuring safety, compliance and technical standards are met.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising drilling programs
• Geological logging, sampling and QA/QC
• Managing and mentoring field-based geology staff
• Liaising with drilling contractors and site personnel
• Ensuring statutory and safety compliance
• Providing regular reports to project stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed

• Minimum 8 years’ experience
• Proven experience with RC and Diamond drilling programs
• Eligibility to be appointed as a Statutory Supervisor
• Strong leadership and site-based decision-making capability
• Manual Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
• First Aid certification preferred What you’ll get in return
