IntroductionBrunel PNG are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting an operational open pit mining project. This role is integral to ensuring safe and effective geotechnical monitoring and ground support throughout mining operations. If you are passionate about applying your engineering expertise in a practical, hands-on environment and want to contribute to a leading mining operation, we encourage you to apply.About this roleAs a Geotechnical Engineer with Brunel International, you will be responsible for the installation, monitoring, and management of geotechnical instrumentation during the mining of the pit. Your key duties will include ensuring monitoring instrumentation is installed correctly, managing procurement and calibration processes, and coordinating survey pickups of instrumentation locations. You will oversee the collection and uploading of monitoring and photogrammetry data to the site database, conduct daily reviews of monitoring data, and prepare weekly status reports for stakeholders. You will also be responsible for reviewing and updating Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs) and monitoring plans, ensuring depressurisation holes are drilled and completed according to design, and assisting the Design Engineer's site lead with data collection and collation alongside other related tasks.
