Reliability Engineer

About the Role

The Reliability Engineer is an integral role within Evolution Mining9s Mungari operation, providing technical reliability and engineering support to Underground Mobile Maintenance. The position is responsible for analysing reliability data, investigating equipment failures, and developing asset management and maintenance strategies to improve equipment availability, performance, and lifecycle outcomes.

Working closely with maintenance and production teams, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support compliance with statutory requirements, and assist in the development and review of asset management plans for critical mobile equipment. The role offers a high level of autonomy and exposure to a modern underground mobile fleet, with new equipment regularly entering the operation.

This position is offered on either an 8:6 (12 0hour day shift only) FIFO from Perth or a residential 5:2:4:3 (10-hour day) roster, based in Kalgoorlie (permanent relocation support within Australia will be provided).

About You

You are a proactive and technically capable Mechanical or Reliability Engineer with experience supporting heavy mobile equipment in a mining or similarly regulated industrial environment. You enjoy working collaboratively across disciplines, are comfortable prioritising competing demands, and communicate effectively with both maintenance and production stakeholders.

Key attributes you will also possess include:

• A recognised Bachelor3;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely aligned engineering discipline
• Experience in mobile equipment reliability (underground or surface mining preferred)
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and asset management practices
• Knowledge of Australian mining standards, statutory requirements, and maintenance frameworks
• A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn and adapt
• Strong organisational, problem-csolving, and analytical skills
• High level of computer literacy, including use of data and reporting tools
• A strong personal commitment to health, safety, and safe work practices
