About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician for short-term coverage on the following dates:
- 26 May 2026 - 2 June 2026
This position supports a key mining operation in Far North Queensland and is offered as a FIFO role from Cairns, Townsville, or Brisbane. This is a coverage role, you will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on air-conditioning units, compressors, and other refrigeration systems, including installation, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance on air-conditioning units
- Carry out reactive maintenance on air-conditioning units
- Carry out maintenance on compressors
- Maintain refrigeration systems
- Installation, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation
About You / Requirements
- Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification
- BSA Contractor Licence - Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services
- Refrigerant Handling Licence (RAC)
- Restricted Electrical Licence
- Valid Australian HR Driver's Licence
- LV Rescue & CPR qualified
- Proven experience as a refrigeration technician, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification
