This is your chance to join our world‑class Component Rebuild Centre as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Plant Mechanic, working hands‑on with advanced tooling, iconic Caterpillar machinery, and a team committed to excellence.
About the Role
Roster: Monday to Friday – 5 days on, 2 days off; 10.5 hours per day (inclusive of 30 minute unpaid meal break)
- Modern, well-equipped workshop—no field service travel

What You’ll Do
- Disassembly, inspection, and assembly of major components (transmissions, final drives, etc.)
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out high-quality repairs
- Ensuring all work meets WesTrac’s safety and quality standards
Skills and Experience
- Australian-recognised trade certificate (Light Vehicle, Heavy Duty, Bus & Truck)
- Dogging and forklift tickets (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Cat components (highly desirable)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Commitment to safe work practices (JSA, Take 5)
Qualifications & Certifications
- Australian-recognised trade certificate (Light Vehicle, Heavy Duty, Bus & Truck)
- Dogging ticket
- Forklift ticket
