Newmont is the world’s leading gold company and a producer of copper, silver, zinc and lead. The Company is an industry leader in value creation, supported by robust safety standards, superior execution and technical proficiency. Newmont was founded in 1921 and has been publicly traded since 1925.

At Newmont, people create the value in the metals we mine and are ambassadors in the communities where they live and work. As a team, we foster an environment in support of our people vision, where everyone belongs, thrives and is valued. We have built a diverse and inclusive workplace where our people can bring their differences to support delivering results together.

Newmont North America operations are located in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec with roles in operations, projects, and exploration. Regional Support is provided from our office in Vancouver.

Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.

Your impact

In this role, you will own and shape the supplier agreements that keep site operations running safely, efficiently, and cost‑effectively. You’ll have clear accountability for managing long‑term supply agreements (Outline Agreements) that matter — with direct influence over supplier performance, commercial outcomes, and operational reliability.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working across procurement, contracts, and stakeholder engagement, and who values seeing their work translate into real operational impact.

As part of our team you will

  • Manage the full lifecycle of site Outline Agreements (long‑term supply agreements), from sourcing and negotiation through renewal and expiry
  • Analyze spend and market data to identify coverage gaps, sourcing opportunities, and cost or performance improvements
  • Lead RFQs/RFPs, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations for inventory goods
  • Work closely with site, regional, and global procurement teams to align agreements with broader category strategies
  • Ensure procurement activities are executed in line with company policies, governance requirements, and applicable legal and HSE standards
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage commercial and supply risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate agreement setup, pricing, and execution within SAP and related systems

Prerequisites for your success in this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (C.P.M. / C.P.S.M. preferred)
  • Proven experience in procurement, contract management, or supplier agreement management within mining, heavy industry, or a comparable operating environment (specifically with goods)
  • Working knowledge of SAP; Ariba experience is an asset
  • Strong commercial judgement with demonstrated negotiation and analytical capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Clear, structured communicator with an outcomes‑focused and practical approach

Your work environment

  • Fully remote role, Monday to Friday with occasional visits to site
  • Standard business hours aligned to the BC time zone
  • Fast‑paced, collaborative environment with regular interaction with site, supplier, and corporate stakeholders
  • Strong emphasis on safety, accountability, and teamwork

We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification. If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we’d love to learn more about you!

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 85,400 - 113,900. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

Newmont also offers a competitive and inclusive benefits package to support the physical, mental, financial and emotional wellbeing of employees. This role will be eligible for various benefits, including: medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance; health care spending account; life, accidental death and dismemberment, and critical illness insurance; short-term and long-term disability; DC pension; employee assistance program (EAP); wellbeing reimbursement program; tuition reimbursement; and paid time off. All bonuses and benefits are subject to the applicable eligibility and program/plan terms, and may be modified or terminated at Newmont’s sole discretion.
