The Opportunity

• Providing timely and accurate planning guidance for the delivery of the mining department production schedules.
• Ensuring provision of effective and timely mine stope notes that support and meet operational objectives.
• Maintaining current and accurate mine designs in accordance with up to date geological and geotechnical data, ensuring compliance to planning, execution and approval processes.
• Assisting in the development of the short to medium term mine plans and generation of the scheduling projects that meets business requirements and timeframes.
• Monitor mining performance and identify opportunities for increased output, analysing variances to forecasts.
• Ensure effective use of available resources to support business outputs in drilling, blasting, backfilling, ventilation and scheduling operations.
• Contributing to ensuring there is a comprehensive suite of fit-for-purpose planning systems and procedures in place and that are operating properly in the Mining Department.
• Identifying and providing engineering support to the implementation of business improvement opportunities at Leonora operations.
• Ensuring provision of technical capacity towards the planning, design, execution and management of capital projects that meet operational objectives.

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
• Sound demonstrated experience in the mining industry, with appropriate experience in underground mining
• Experience using Deswik software
• Sound knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining.
