The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the mining surveying department.

You will be responsible for:

• Coordination of all mine surveying activities in a safe, accurate and timely manner and in accordance with statutory regulations
• Conduct as-constructed surveys of active pits as required
• Complete daily mine set-outs (ore boundaries, crests, pit designs).
• Process and set out engineering and blast designs
• Clear previous set-outs and complete required surveys
• Liaise with Mine Engineering, Geology, and Operations for daily survey needs
• Perform backfill, waste dump, and topsoil surveys
• Mentor and train survey technicians
• Complete plant surveys and volumetrics for waste, backfill, rehab, and end?of?month reporting

About You
This role would suit a skilled Mine Surveyor looking to work in a diverse and dynamic team environment where safety is paramount. You will also hold:

• Tertiary qualification in Mine Surveying
• Proficient with survey software systems (Deswik, Surpac, Pix4D, CoPre, TBC)
• Proven experience in a similar role in open cut mining
• Previous exposure to leading teams members to safely undertake works
