Description & Requirements

We’re recruiting a full-time Mechanical Work Pack Preparer to join our Energy team in Perth. You will be responsible for planning maintenance work safely and efficiently in time with the right quality at optimal cost. This role will be based in our client’s office in the Perth CBD from Monday to Friday and some ad-hoc offshore travel may be required throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with operations, maintenance, engineering and external vendors and subcontracted personnel to obtain specific information in relation to onshore maintenance requirements
  • Provide expert advice, support, technical or functional information (related to estimating and work pack preparation) as required
  • Development and coordination of Mechanical work packs, resource estimations and supporting documentation to ensure efficient execution
  • Support preparation of a quality major maintenance activity standalone schedule
  • Ensuring any lessons from previous activities/events are incorporated
  • Overseeing the full spectrum of planning, taking into account materials, resourcing and equipment procurement
  • Maintaining and developing a knowledge base of maintenance management systems and and planning software

What you’ll bring:

  • Mechanical trade or engineering qualification
  • Proven experience within the oil and gas or refinery industries
  • Experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP
  • Experience with Primavera P6 (advantageous)
  • Experience with Major Maintenance and Brownfields projects advantageous
  • Experience throughout work life cycle, building work packs, planning/scheduling and site execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
  • Willingness to travel to site as per business requirements
