Our end‑to‑end facilities management and project management capability ensures that infrastructure is delivered, maintained and supported efficiently.

DeltaFM are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead village maintenance operations at our Middlemount site on a 7:7 roster. This role supports safe, efficient service delivery across a high‑compliance accommodation village and plays a key part in client engagement, contractor oversight and operational performance.

THE POSITION

  • Leading the day‑to‑day delivery of village maintenance services, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations.
  • Managing the works management system including triage, task allocation, workflow monitoring and accurate client reporting.
  • Building strong relationships with client stakeholders to support issue resolution, negotiations and long‑term contract performance.
  • Overseeing subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with safety, IR, licensing and service standards.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service across the village, ensuring presentation, responsiveness and end‑user satisfaction.
  • Managing cost control, stock, consumables and ordering processes to support efficient operations.
  • Monitoring financial performance, supporting budgeting and completing monthly stocktakes.
  • Utilising Compass systems including MyCompass, Compass College, Self‑Service Purchasing, PayGlobal and CompassProcure.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high‑performing maintenance team.
  • Upholding the Compass Group Our Safety Culture framework, ensuring safe systems of work, hazard management and environmental compliance.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and induction to maintain a strong, safety‑focused team culture.

THE PERSON

  • Full Australian Working Rights and ability to meet pre‑employment checks.
  • Proven experience in Facilities Management, village maintenance or a trade‑based environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and client‑relationship capability.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and develop teams.
  • Solid understanding of building and maintenance practices, contractor management and workflow coordination.
  • Strong computer literacy across Microsoft platforms and FM systems.
  • Commitment to safety leadership with in‑depth WHS knowledge.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, stock and site performance.
