Glencore is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join the Logistics Operations and Logistics team based in Townsville. This is a residential, Monday–Friday role, supporting the effective coordination and administration of logistics movements across Glencore Metals Australia.

About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor – Logistics, the Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day to day coordination of logistics operations across Glencore Metals Australia. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate administration, reporting and compliance of logistics movements and contracts, while supporting operational teams with timely and reliable logistics information.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, service providers and contractors to support effective logistics execution, cost control and compliance with contractual and company requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and communicate daily operational requirements and liaise with service providers
- Maintain accurate records to support logistics movements, contractual obligations and compliance
- Monitor and report service provider performance against contractual requirements
- Support invoice processing, reconciliation and payment approvals in line with contracts and delegations
- Maintain accurate accruals, estimates and cost tracking for logistics services
- Prepare summaries of logistics contracts, including service charges and minimum commitments
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and environmental requirements
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including scheduled meetings
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations and administration
About You – Skills and Experience
You are a detail focused and organised logistics professional who enjoys working in a structured, operational environment. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with service providers, and maintaining accurate records that support operational and financial outcomes.
You will ideally possess the following skillset and attributes:
- Experience in logistics coordination, transport administration or supply chain support
- Strong administrative and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage and summarise contractual and operational information
- Effective communication and relationship building skills
- Confidence working with internal teams and external logistics providers
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics or ERP systems
- A collaborative approach with a focus on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement
