Heavy Duty Fitter

As a Heavy Duty Fitter with NRW, you are responsible for supporting the onsite team in scheduled maintenance, workshop, diagnostics and breakdowns on a wide variety of surface mining equipment.

What we are looking for:

• Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate
• Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, Working at heights, etc
• Minimum 3 years post trade experience (MEM)
• Experience with CAT 6060, CAT 793F Haul Trucks, Hitachi EX5600 Excavators, Komatsu WA900-8 Loaders
• Demonstrated behaviours which align with NRW’s values and safety standards
• A “can do” attitude and strong team commitment
• Australian work rights

Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers. With an expected life of 30+ years, it will underpin a long-term iron ore business and provide sustainable benefits to the regional community where we operate.
