Tradesperson - Fitter

About the Role

You’re not here to sit behind a desk. This is a boots-on-the-ground role where your trade skills make a real impact. Reporting to the Fixed Plant Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment across the processing and paste plants. You’ll either work a work a 7/7 dayshift only roster or a 7/7 continuous day/night roster, often independently during night shifts, making real-time decisions to keep operations running smoothly.

• You’ll be trusted to lead contractor teams during shutdowns and make autonomous decisions on shift.
• You’ll work on a wide range of equipment including crushers, pumps, vibrating screens, and tailings infrastructure.
• You’ll contribute to continuous improvement and safety culture, with your input valued and acted on.

This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, variety, and being part of a strong, experienced team.

About You / Requirements

You’re a qualified tradesperson with experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally but not limited to gold or base metals processing. You’re confident working solo, especially on night shifts, and you know how to keep the wheels turning when things get tough. You’re motivated by stability, team culture, and the chance to grow into leadership.

• A relevant trade certificate, worked on large plant and experience with shutdowns, fault diagnosis, and Pronto (or similar systems)
• A mindset that balances safety, urgency, and quality
• A desire to settle into a permanent role, contribute to a high-performing team, and possibly relocate for the right opportunity
