We’re looking for a hands‑on, safety‑driven Workshop Technician to join our Fairfield Service Workshop team. If you’re a certified diesel tradesperson who thrives on diagnostics, repairs, and solving technical challenges, this role puts you right where the action is.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose, repair and service Komatsu equipment to a high technical standard.
• Test, adjust and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and monitoring systems.
• Produce accurate, professional technical and service reports.
• Keep labour output high while maintaining excellent safety and housekeeping.
• Support quoting, job planning, TSI/warranty processes, and cost control.
• Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service.

Shift hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday – Day Shift

Start and finish times: 7:30am to 4pm

Pay rate: $44.82 - $49.39 as of 01 April $46.61 - $51.36 per hour plus Overtime as required + Tool Allowance $25 per week

What you bring

• Certified Plant Mechanic + Current Driver’s Licence.
• Strong diagnostic capability and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently, safely and with attention to detail.
• Solid communication skills and a team‑first attitude.
• Forklift + Working at Heights tickets (or willingness to obtain).
• Komatsu equipment experience highly regarded.
