Field Assistant

Your new company

Hays is working with an established exploration company delivering a drilling program at a project located north‑east of Perth, Western Australia. The program is scheduled to commence in mid-April and is expected to run through to mid-October.

Your new role

As a Field Assistant, you will provide hands‑on support to exploration activities across drilling programs. This role suits candidates with solid field experience who are comfortable working in remote environments and contributing to the success of a busy exploration campaign.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assist geologists with daily exploration activities
• Support RC and diamond drilling programs
• Core handling, cutting, sampling and sample dispatch
• Assist with general field logistics and site maintenance
• Maintain high safety, environmental and housekeeping standards
• Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities as required

What you’ll need to succeed

• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Proven experience with RC and Diamond drilling programs
• Manual Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
• First Aid certification preferred
