Engineer - Mining

Job Responsibilities

• Conducting all aspects of engineering work, predominantly drill & blast design and support as well as mine scheduling in a timely manner;
• Providing technical and commercial support as required inclusive of timely reporting of accurate site performance statistics;
• Identifying and actively participating in business improvement initiatives;
• Assisting site personnel with management of survey data and checks as required;
• Reviewing and liaising with site personnel on client schedules, equipment allocation and expected costs and revenue; and
• Maintaining the production reporting system and associated site support; and
• Supporting in progress claim audits and forecast preparation for the project.

About the Role

We are currently looking for experienced Mining Engineer join our Team at The King Of The Hills on an 8 days on 6 days off roster flying in and out of Perth, reporting to Technical Services Superintendent

About You

• Previous experience in a similar role within an open-pit mining environment working on a large scale gold- mining project;
• Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent (recognised by Engineers Australia);
• Demonstrated understanding of drill and blast designs and techniques;
• Short term planning skills, accompanied by familiarity with current mine planning software;
• Great interpersonal and communication skills;
• Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and
• Current C Class Drivers Licence.
