Corporate & Major Accounts Manager

Tier One Mining Portfolio | Hunter Valley & Newcastle Region

Lead one of Australia’s most significant mining customer portfolios — while enjoying a coastal lifestyle and long-term career runway.

In this role within our Resource Industries division, you will be the trusted commercial partner to a major mining customer, responsible for end‑to‑end account strategy across:

  • Large mining equipment
  • Mining technology & digital solutions
  • Aftermarket sales and product support services

Reporting to the Resource Industries Business Manager, you’ll shape long‑term account strategy, drive market share growth, and deliver tailored, high‑value solutions that support your customer’s operational, environmental and commercial objectives.

This role is based in the Hunter/Newcastle region (Tomago or Mt Thorley), with regular site engagement and some interstate travel.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Strategic, not transactional – manage a tier one mining customer with genuine influence and scale
  • Monday–Friday role – strong work‑life balance with minimal weekend disruption
  • Autonomy & trust – own the relationship, strategy and outcomes
  • Industry leadership – represent world‑class Caterpillar solutions backed by WesTrac’s depth and capability
  • Relocation support available – make the move to one of NSW’s most liveable regions

About You

You’re a commercially astute relationship leader who thrives in complex, high‑value environments. You likely bring:

  • Proven experience managing major or corporate accounts in mining, heavy equipment, industrial services, energy or infrastructure
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and influencing capability
  • Ability to navigate executive‑level stakeholders and operational decision‑makers
  • Solid understanding of total cost of ownership, asset lifecycle and customer value drivers
  • Confidence leading cross‑functional teams and collaborating with OEM partners
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or large mining fleets (highly regarded, not essential)
  • A tertiary qualification in business, engineering or a mechanical trade background will be viewed favourably.

Why WesTrac?

At WesTrac, we’re Made for More — more impact, more development, more balance.

You’ll join a business that genuinely invests in its people and offers:

  • Competitive total package (car + incentives)
  • Fully maintained vehicle
  • Generous relocation assistance (where applicable)
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave
  • Flexible work arrangements and purchased leave options
  • Industry‑leading learning and development via our in‑house RTO and digital platforms
  • Fitness Passport (for you and your family)
  • Health, wellbeing and income protection benefits
  • Clear pathways for long‑term career progression

Considering a Relocation?

The Hunter Valley & Newcastle region offers the best of both worlds — a thriving industrial and mining hub paired with coastal living, affordable housing, excellent schools and an easy commute. It’s a popular destination for professionals seeking career growth without sacrificing lifestyle.
